Zhaotong City

Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture

Chuxiong Prefecture is only 1.5h ride from Kunming. It is the core region with the most competitive advantage and development potential in Central Yunnan Urban Agglomeration. Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture
Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture is located in the southeast of Yunnan Province, borders on Vietnam, with a boundary line of 438km. It is known as the “Yunnan-Guangxi Corridor”. Wenshan Prefecture abounds with the pseudo-ginseng (Tianqi). Both the yield and quality are the best in China. The pseudo-ginseng is called as the “stephania sinica diels” in the Compendium of Materia Medica, so Wenshan is known as the land of pseudo-ginseng.

Abundant resources: In Pu'er, the land area per capita is 27mu, over 2 times more than that of the whole nation; the forest land per capita is 19mu, 9 times more than that of the whole nation. The value of annual forest ecological service function reaches RMB 211 billion and the rubber planting area ranks the third in China. Pu'er is rich in mineral resources, including iron, gold, copper, lead-zinc and molybdenum. Its reserve of hydroenergy is 15 million kW. Colorful cultures: There are 14 minorities living in Pu'er. Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture
Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture located in the northwest of Yunnan Province has an area of 29,459 km2and a population of about 3.59 million and governs 1 city, 11 counties, one National Economic & Technological Development Zone, one provincial tourism resort and the Development and Management Committee of Haidong. Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, located in the southwest frontier of China and in China - Myanmar border area, is a famous hometown of the peacock. Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture
"Diqing" means "a place of good luck and happiness" in Tibetan language. It is the Shangri-La where people yearn for and also the core region of the world natural heritage "Three Parallel Rivers". Diqing Prefecture is passed through by Lancang River and Jinsha River from north to south and characterized by the special landform of "snow mountain as town, river as pool". It is a resplendent pearl on the plateau of Northwestern Yunnan. It covers a land area of 23,186 km2, with a population of 407,000 where ethnic minorities accounts for 88.7%.
Location Advantages
Diqing Prefecture is the strategic passage for entering Tibet from Yunnan. It connects Yunnan, Sichuan and Tibet and has the traffic network with Yunnan-Tibet Highway and Sichuan-Tibet Highway (originally called Kangding-Tibet Highway) as the arteries.
