昆明市
Kunming City

Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture

Location Advantages

Wenshan Prefecture abounds with the pseudo-ginseng (Tianqi). Both the yield and quality are the best in China. Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture

The “Liuku-Nyingchi-Lhasa Economic Corridor under progress is expected to integrate regional resources including tourism resources, cultural resources and biological resources. Resource environment: In terms of biological resources, there are 356 types of Chinese herbal medicines, 140 flower species, 748 wild animal species and more than 3000 species of higher plants. In terms of tourism and cultural resources, this prefecture has the scenic attractions such as the Grand Nujiang Valley, the National Park of Dulongjiang Grand Canyon, the world natural heritage of “Three Parallel Rivers” as well as the natural wonder of “three rivers running through four mountains”. Nujiang Prefecture is also uniquely characterized by cultural and ethnic diversity where rich ethnic culture and different religions merge with each other. 迪庆藏族自治州
Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture

"Diqing" means "a place of good luck and happiness" in Tibetan language. It is the Shangri-La where people yearn for and also the core region of the world natural heritage "Three Parallel Rivers". Diqing Prefecture is passed through by Lancang River and Jinsha River from north to south and characterized by the special landform of "snow mountain as town, river as pool". It is a resplendent pearl on the plateau of Northwestern Yunnan. It covers a land area of 23,186 km2, with a population of 407,000 where ethnic minorities accounts for 88.7%.

Location Advantages

Diqing Prefecture is the strategic passage for entering Tibet from Yunnan. It connects Yunnan, Sichuan and Tibet and has the traffic network with Yunnan-Tibet Highway and Sichuan-Tibet Highway (originally called Kangding-Tibet Highway) as the arteries. Diqing Shangri-La Airport, covering a land area of 225 hectares, is the largest airport in Northwestern Yunnan.

Resource Environment

Diqing Prefecture is located at the southeastern end of the “Water Towers of Asia” and passed through by Jinsha River and Lancang River. It has 221 tributaries with the theoretical reserves of water power over 1,650 kW, 15% of that of Yunnan Province. In addition, Diqing Prefecture is located at the core area of the “metallogenic belt of three rivers” and also one of top 10 national enrichment regions of mineral resources.

Lincang City

Lincang City, getting its name due to that it is close to Lancang River, is a treasured place on the southwest border of China to be developed. Its south part is traversed by the Tropic of Cancer and it is adjacent to Simao in the east, to Dali in the north, to Baoshan in the west and borders on Myanmar in the southwest. Lincang has 1 national border economic cooperation zone. It is the hub and key gateway for connecting China and South Asia and Southeast Asia. Products assembled here are exported to other countries via Myanmar.
