Project Description

Relying on Ruili's advantages in importing fresh seafood raw materials from Myanmar, the project plans to introduce investors to construct a Ruili intensive processing project of imported seafood in Wanding International Import and Export Bio-industrial Park, to build an intensive processing base of imported seafood in Ruili, which integrates R&D, processing, display and sales of seafood. With Ruili as the core and the operation mode of "putting both ends of the production process on the world market", the project market, based in Yunnan, radiates to South Asia and Southeast Asia, enjoying a good market prospect in the future.

Content

The project is proposed to cover an area of 30 mu, with the construction period of 1 year. The main construction contents include freezer, packaging workshop, finished product warehouse and its supporting facilities. The seafood cleaning production line, intensive processing production line and seafood packaging line will be constructed. Also, the project is to develop canned, smoked and roasted foods, minced fish, fresh-keeping soft package, quick-frozen food, aquatic seasoning and other series of foods.

Supporting Conditions

1. Ruili is the most convenient and economical passage for China to connect Southeast Asia and South Asia and to the Indian Ocean, the most convenient, safe, stable and mature land passage to Myanmar, the entrance of Yunnan-Burma Highway, Stilwell Road, China-Myanmar Communication Optical Cable and China-India oil pipeline, and the exit and entry hub of railway passage and expressway passage.

2. Wanding has one national Class I port, two entry and exit passages, one national border economic cooperation zone and one provincial bio-industrial park. The foreign trade port has become an important means of economic exchanges between Ruili and Myanmar. In 2019, Dehong Area of China (Yunnan) Pilot Free Trade Zone was established. The Port of Wanding has become the unique designated import port for "non-ready-to-eat" chilled fresh products in Yunnan Province. As a "unique" port, it has a leading edge in development and a unique advantage in the market. In 2018, the Port of Wanding achieved a total import and export trade of CNY 19.22 billion, with 1.87 million tons of inbound and outbound goods, and the annual average import volume of various aquatic products was about 20,000 tons.

3. Myanmar is close to the Indian Ocean, rich in fishery resources, and its annual export volume exceeds USD 400 million. It is rich in lobster, prawn, shad, sardine, sailfish, swimming crab, grouper, oyster and much other seafood. The Seafood is rich in variety and very fresh, and its price is very low, which is less than one third of that in China. The imported seafood from Myanmar is mainly frozen logistics and fresh food, with small amount of intensive processing and great development potential.

4. It, enjoying the advantage of special border port, is adjacent to Muse and other cities in Myanmar where labor resources are abundant with low prices.

The total investment is CNY 50 million, including CNY 30 million raised by enterprises, CNY 15 million raised by financial institutions and CNY 5 million from other funds.

Market Prediction (Analysis)

With the improvement of residents' consumption level and the upgrading of consumption patterns in China, ordinary people's demand for seafood is rising, and the customer group of seafood will gradually rise from the urban customer group to the national customer group, and the consumer group will present a more diversified trend.

Profit Model and Preliminary Benefit Analysis

The income will be obtained from the sales of seafood processing products. The initial annual processing capacity can reach more than 5,000 tons, achieving an annual output value of about CNY 150 million. In the later stage, it is planned to improve product processing technology and develop high value-added products. Based on this, the project has good investment income and high return on investment.

Risk Analysis

The production and domestic sewage will be uniformly discharged into the sewage pipe network of the park after being treated by the enterprise itself to reach the Class I Standard. The scientific greening will be implemented. Also, during the operation period of the project, the production waste will be treated specially.
