Overview

According to provincial and municipal plan, the general airport and associated aviation industrial park will be constructed in Jiangchuan District. The class-I general airport will be built in Jiangchuan District to actively guide the domestic and foreign relevant enterprises to gather in Yuxi and to create a high-end aviation equipment manufacturing industry base in the entire province. This protect is one of the important construction projects invested in13th five-year plan. The planned key airport is located in the area of Longquan Park of High-Tech Zone in Yuxi City, 10 km from the city center, with the straight-line distance of about 5 km from the center town. With the planning area of 60,000 mu, the investment construction is expected to be completed within 10 years.

This project is to build the supporting facilities for supporting general airport, such as general airports runway, the parking apron, hangar, aircraft maintenance facilities, to enlarge the airline series equipment manufacturing extension industrial chain and the supporting manufacturing of 20,000 sets of products such as engine, hardcover accessories and airport equipment, navigation management facilities. After completion, the aviation industrial park can be created step by step, and the main industries include the assembly of general aircraft, R&D and manufacturing. The airport will be expanded in line with the domestic regional scale, to promote the linkage development of industry, agriculture, tourism and other industries in Jiangchuan District. The manufacturing output can be determined according to the market demand.

Construction scale: To form the equipment manufacturing extension industrial chain of airline series, 20,000 sets of associated products such as engine, hardcover accessories and airport equipment can be manufactured such engine, hardcover, accessories, airport equipment.

Land area: 500 mu

Natural resources: Jiangchuan, located in the east of Central Yunnan, bordering on Huaning County and Tonghai County in the southeast, Hongta District in the southwest, Jinning County , Chengjiang County in the northwest. The Dajie Town in the County is 100 km from provincial capital of Kunming, 30 km away from Zhoucheng Town, home of Yuxi government.

Location advantages: Longquan Park in High-Tech Zone in Yuxi City, with obvious location advantages, is adjacent to Kunming City in the north, Pu'er City in the southwest, Honghe Prefecture in the southeast, and Chuxiong Prefecture in the northwest. There traverses the Kunming-Yuxi Railway, Pan-Asia Railway (east line, central line), Kunming-Bangkok International Expressway, and location is the transportation hub to Southeast Asia and South Asia. This project is about 125 km from Kunming Changshui Airport.

Production factors: The primary and auxiliary materials can be easily procured in the domestic market. The water, electricity and gas supply can be guaranteed. Most employees can be recruited locally, and the local average price of labor power is around RMB 2000/month.

Project construction conditions: municipal infrastructure conditions is mature, such as water supply, sewage discharge, power supply and communication. With obvious location advantages, there exists no undesirable geological phenomenon in the park. The geological condition is good, which is suitable for project construction. With flat terrain, and the "seven accesses and one clearance” have been reached and the conditions in the park are good.

Associated industries: With a good industrial foundation, the project will promote the manufacture level of high-end equipment, change the situation that there is no air line network in Yuxi City, and drive the sound development of the high-end equipment manufacturing industry chain. This project aims to create Yuxi as the pilot area and demonstration area with a complete industrial chain and a key focus for Yunnan aviation industry development, which will has a radiation effect to the entire country, South Asia and southeast Asia.

Early preparations: Project of aviation equipment manufacturing industry chain is listed as the key development goal and plan at provincial, municipal, district level.
