Overview |

This project will actively exploit the unique location advantages and the domestic and overseas resources of mechanical and electrical, clothing, textile and LED product industries to develop mechanical and electrical, clothing, textile and LED product processing in the Cooperation Zone. |

Construction scale: Rooms for producing mechanical and electrical, clothing, textile and LED products and other auxiliary facilities will be built in line with overall planning and scientific layout, and different product processing areas will be divided according to industrial scale. Construction duration: 3 years Land area: The land area required for the project is 150 mu. |
Supporting Conditions |
Strategic advantages: Mengla (Mohan) is at the congregation of implementing many national development strategies such as the Belt and Road Initiative, Yangtze River Economic Belt, the new round of Western Development, China-Indochina Peninsula Economic Corridor and the Greater Mekong Sub-regional Economic Cooperation. Location advantages: The State Council has approved the Mengla (Mohan) Key Development and Opening-up Pilot Zone (hereinafter referred to as “the Pilot Zone”) on July 16, 2015; moreover, China and Laos signed Common Overall Plan for the Construction of China-Laos Mohan-Boten Economic Cooperation Zone (hereinafter referred to as “the Common Overall Plan”) on August 31, marking China-Laos Cross-border Economic Cooperation Zone (hereinafter referred to as “the Economic Cooperation Zone”) has come into a substantial promotion stage. Now, Mengla (Mohan) has become a forefront of opening-up from China’s margin and end, turning into an important node actively providing service and incorporated into the Belt and Road Initiative, a significant platform for overall cooperation between China and Laos and a vital hinge towards the Southeast Asia. The Economic Cooperation Zone is the core and pioneer of the Pilot Zone and an essential breakthrough for the construction of the Pilot Zone. Foundational advantages: The Economic Cooperation Zone is more and more connected because of initial shaping of three-dimensional traffic network. Kunming - Bangkok Expressway has been completed; the middle line of Trans-Asian Railway has been outbound from Mohan; Xishuangbanna Airport has been upgraded into an international airport; in addition, 300t cargo vessels can operate on Lancang - Mekong River waterway all the year around. Port infrastructures are increasingly improved, significantly easing the customs clearance. Exchanges and cooperation mechanisms have been established for smooth communication. With the rapid development of foreign trade, Mohan Port has become the second largest trade pass of Yunnan Province. Associated industries: Relying on the location advantages of Mohan Port, the project will further implement the “going global” strategy and promote economic and trade cooperation through commerce exhibitions and cultural communication. Being adjacent to Kunming - Bangkok Expressway, the project site enjoys very convenient traffic conditions; furthermore, water, electricity and other auxiliary materials can meet its needs. The project site is 2 hours away from Jinghong Airport. Early preparations: This project has been incorporated into the development plan of Mohan Cross-border Cooperation Zone; lands have been acquired for the project site; the project conceptual scheme has been completed. |

Fund structure: total investment = fixed-assets investment of RMB 100 million + interest incurred during construction of RMB 50 million + working capital of RMB 50 million Fund raising: self-raising by enterprise, foreign investment promotion and other ways of financing |
