Lianghe County is one of the cradles of Ancient Tea Horse Road in western Yunnan Province and tea, with excellent natural ecological environment, abundant ancient tea tree resources and a long history of tea culture. Lianghe County has a total area of more than 53,000 mu of terrace tea gardens and 30,000 mu of ancient tea tree resources, with an annual total output of more than 3,300t of dry tea. In 2018, Lianghe County was listed on the "Top 100 Counties in China's Tea Industry in 2018".

The county-wide public brand "Lianghe Huilong Tea" has officially obtained three-ISO certifications of Registration and Certification of Geographical Indication Protection for Agricultural Products issued by the State Ministry of Agriculture. It has become one of Yunnan's famous premium tea products and a mark of Lianghe County. It can also undertake tourist resources in Tengchong City with broad market prospect.

Relying on Lianghe County’s long history of tea culture, excellent ecological resources, favorable traffic location and abundant ancient tea resources, the project takes tea culture as soul, tea garden scenery and ethnic customs as spirit, and tea industry chain as starting point to integrate Lianghe Huilong tea industry resources, connect external tourism routes, divert tourists from Tengchong and realize rural revitalization. The project is planned to be One Circle, One Park, Two Bases and Six Zones, and build an eco-tourism town with characteristics of Huilong tea in Lianghe County, which integrates the functions of production and processing, cultural experience, tourism, leisure and entertainment, etc.

Construction scale: It is planned to build the deep tea processing plant with an annual processing capacity of more than 5,000t, reconstruct 20,000 mu of "green ecological high-yield and high-efficiency tea garden" base and 10,000 mu of "agricultural facility tea garden" base, as well as tea culture and pastoral complexes focusing on Huilongzhai in Dachang Township, Shiyanjiao Village in Xiaochang Township, Guanzhang New Village in Nangsong Township, Qinglongshan Village in Mangdong Town, Henglu Village and Huangtian Village in Jiubao Township.

1. Advantages and opportunities: (1) Advantage of ecological resources: Lianghe County is located on the windward side of the west side of Hengduan Mountains in Gaoligong Mountain. The whole area is subtropical monsoon rain forest climate zone with a minimum altitude of 860m and a maximum altitude of 2672.8m. The natural ecological resources in the vast mountainous and semi-mountainous areas are suitable for tea production, with unique light, heat, water, gas and soil. Biological vegetation and ancient tea trees are rich in resources, so that the inherent quality of tea is excellent. Moreover, in Lianghe tea area, tea mountain encircles the village, and tea gardens and ecological forests are interwoven and distributed, with perfect three-dimensional ecological environment and a forest coverage rate of more than 70%. The ecological environment of the tea garden is harmonious and balanced, instead of a single tea garden of more than 1,000 mu or 10,000 mu. In addition, due to the relatively poor areas and backward industrial and agricultural production, the tea area is basically free of any pollution source, with clean air, water and soil, which is very conducive to the development of green ecological products and health preservation industry. (2) Location advantage: Lianghe County borders Tengchong, Longling, Mangshi, Longchuan, Yingjiang and other counties (cities) on all sides, with mountains and rivers connected and roads extending in all directions. Especially after the completion of the "Two Expressways and One Railway" networks of Teng-Long Expressway, Mang-Liang Expressway and Mangshi-Lianghe-Monkey bridge-Myanmar Myitkyina Railway, Lianghe County will soon become a key hub of counties (cities) in western Yunnan. On the one hand, with Lianghe County as the core area, the surrounding counties (cities) have a total base tea garden area of more than 400,000 mu and the ancient tree tea forest area of more than 200,000 mu, with a tea output of more than 20,000t. On the other hand, the ports in Dehong Prefecture and western Yunnan counties (cities) are the most convenient passages to the Indian Ocean, south Asia and southeast Asia, and they are the major key ports and advantageous area for tea export, accounting for more than 40% of the tea export volume in Yunnan province. (3) Humanistic advantage: Lianghe County is a multi-ethnic county where the culture of Central Plains and border ethnic minorities blend with each other. There are more than 20 ethnic groups in the territory, including Han, Dai, Jingpo, Achang, Deang and Lisu. There are two Achang ethnic townships - one of the seven ethnic groups with a small population in China, which are their main inhabited areas. The cultural history here is profound, with distinctive features and cultures of Central Plains, Tusi, Achang and other ethnic groups blending with each other.
