Overview

The 2019 Yunnan Provincial Government Work Report proposes to make all efforts to build a world-class “green food brand” and ensure that the ratio of the output value of agricultural product processing industry to the total output value of agriculture is higher than 1.6:1. It also propose to strive to make the green food industry bigger, stronger and better according to the development concept of “big industry + new subjects + new platform”. More than 50,000 mu radish is planted in Luoci District, Bicheng Town, Lufeng County. The average yield is 5,000 kg per mu, and the annual yield of dry radish strips is more than 20 million tons. The products are mainly sold to Shanghai, Guangdong and mainly exported to Japan and South Korea. Luoci radish is of high quality and Luoci has been determined as the production area of pollution-free agricultural product.

In combination of the green food brand development strategy of Yunnan Province and the rich radish planting resources in Lufeng County, the Foreign Trade Radish Deep Processing Project is implemented to make Lufeng radish industry bigger and stronger, promote the brand of pollute-free food, satisfy the growing market demand, transform resource advantages into economic advantages, accelerate the construction of Lufeng export-oriented pollute-free food processing park, and develop and strengthen modern plateau agriculture with characteristics.

Content

Construction scale: The project focuses on radish deep process and faces international market. It involves raw material process area, production and processing area, new product R&D center, quality inspection center, warehousing and logistics area, administrative office area and relevant supporting facilities.

Construction period: subject to the actual construction of the investor.

Supporting Conditions

First, Lufeng County is accessible. It is in the east of Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture and in the middle of Yunnan Province. Lufeng County borders on Fuming County, Xishan District and Anning City of Kunming City in the east, on Shuangbai County and Yimen County of Yuxi City in the south, on Chuxiong City and Mouding County in the west and on Yuanmou County and Wuding County in the north. Lufeng has been the traffic throat of Kunming to the west of Yunnan since ancient times, so it is called "the thoroughfare of nine prefectures and the post station of the two provinces". The People’s Government of Lufeng County is located at Jinshan Town. It is 97 km from Kunming (provincial capital) in the east and 85 km from Chuxiong (prefectural capital) in the west. There are 25 plains with an area of more than 2 sq.km. in the county, among which Luoci Plain is 103 sq.km. The plain area accounts for 8% of county territory. Anning-Chuxiong Expressway, Wuding-Yimen Expressway, Chuxiong-Lufeng Guangtong Expressway, and Kunming-Chuxiong Multi-lane Expressway pass through this county. The traffic mileage reaches 265 km. National Highway 320, Anning Fengying-Wuding Highway, Lufeng-Wuding Highway connect to the county and township roads, forming a cross road network. The total mileage of the road in the county is 5050 km, including 1321 km trunk road mileage. There are 24 railway special lines in Lufeng County. Chengdu-Kunming Railway, Chengdu-Kunming Multi-lane Railway, Yongning-Guangtong Multi-lane Railway run through this county. The transportation is convenient.

Secondly, the supporting conditions are favorable. More than 50,000 mu radish is planted in Luoci District, Lufeng County. The average yield is 5,000 kg per mu, and the annual yield of dry radish strips is more than 20 million tons. The radish variety planted is Taibyousoubutori. The products are mainly sold to Shanghai, Guangdong and mainly exported to Japan and South Korea. Luoci radish is of high quality and Luoci has been determined as the production area of pollution-free agricultural product. These radishes can be processed into high-quality strips and pickles. The project site is at a favorable and accessible location. It is far from pollution all around. There is sufficient alternative land, complete infrastructure of water, electricity and roads, guaranteed power supply, convenient transportation, stable geological conditions, easy disposal of waste water and solid wastes, and the formation of a road network.

Thirdly, the county economy has been well-developed. Lufeng is a pilot county for economic development, and a demonstration county for agricultural ecological environment, science and technology household project, pollution-free vegetable production, characteristic cultural industry and plateau characteristic agriculture and a base of high-quality rice development in Yunnan. It is one of the 588 major vegetable production counties in China, and is listed as one of the major counties of “south-to-north vegetable transportation” of Yunnan and the “pig production” counties of China.

Fourthly, the project is in line with the provincial industrial development strategy. The project is implemented according to the strategy of developing modern agriculture industry with plateau characteristics in Yunnan and the strategy of building "green food brand".

Fifthly, the project foundation is solid. Luoci Green Food Industrial Park features complete infrastructure. Several enterprises have stationed in this park, including Lufeng Huamao Agricultural Product Processing Development Co., Ltd., Lufeng Kangyuan Agricultural Products Processing Development Co., Ltd., etc.
