Basic Facts
As the geographic center of Asia, Yunnan is adjacent to ASEAN members-myanmar,
Laos and Vietnam and serves as China's gateway to South and Southeast Asia. It is
the only province from which China can connect South and Southeast Asia and three
Silk Roads by land.
Economic Development
In 2018, Yunnan introduced a total of 14 RMB one-billion-level industrial projects,
and signed strategic agreements with Huawei, CRRC, Jingrun Huachuang Tech, Beijing
University of Chemical Technology. Meanwhile, Yunnan has continuously carried out
programs dedicated to the "Three Hundred" 2 industrial transformation and upgrading,
smart manufacturing demonstration, and a new round of 1,000 technological transformation.
The clustering of leading projects helps drive Yunnan's manufacturing industry smarter,
greener, and more service-oriented.
Digital Economy
In 2018, Yunnan pushed ahead its digital economy with the implementation of the"Digital Yunnan"plan,
marked by the"All-in-One"mobile apps, in a bid to build itself into a digital-driven hub attractive
to South and Southeast Asia.
